Kathleen Sarmiento, DSW, LMFT

Dr. Sarmiento obtained her Doctorate of Social Work at the University of Southern California. Dr. Sarmiento is a licensed mental health clinician and focuses on ensuring healthy development for all youth. Dr. Sarmiento served as a co-chair for the Riverside County Suicide Prevention Coalition for 2 years. She currently volunteers as a board member for Gateway College and Career Academy at Riverside City College and is a CEPA Certified trainer through CAMFT. Dr. Sarmiento is also an ASIST Trainer. She has been passionately working in the Mental Health field for over 12 years now. She has extensive experience working with at-risk adolescents, couples, and families, crisis intervention, LGBTQ youth, and trauma. Dr. Sarmiento created and oversees a Peer Counseling program called S.U.P.E.R. Peer Counseling Program™. This program was created as a school-based program designed to empower youth to help and support their fellow classmates. It is aimed at decreasing suicide attempts and deaths, decreasing the stigma around mental illness within the education system, as well as creating a culture of connectedness on campus.

Lorena Magallanes, MS, LMFT, PPS

Lorena Magallanes is a licensed marriage and family therapist providing support to families, children, youth, and couples. She earned her bachelor's in psychology and masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from University of La Verne. She has been providing therapeutic service since 2011. Her interests include cognitive behavioral therapy, restorative practices, mindfulness, and wellness. Other areas of expertise are: Teen issues, Peer Pressure, Self Esteem, Parent/Child or Partner Relational Problems, Dating Violence/Abuse, Suicide Self-Harm Behaviors, Anxiety Disorders, Physical, Sexual, Emotional Abuse, Anger and Stress Management.

Meghan Olmos, MS, AMFT

Meghan is a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist supporting children, adolescents, and adults through various life challenges. She earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology from California State University, San Bernardino, and obtained her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of La Verne. Meghan has expertise in play therapy, as well as treating anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and relationship conflicts. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in self-awareness, acceptance, compassion, and empathy, allowing her to tailor sessions to each client’s unique needs.

As a Latina with a visual impairment, Veronica is an advocate in the disability community. She is committed to providing mental health and emotional well-being, with the goal in mind of helping overcome loss and grief while adapting to a sighted world. Using CBT, DBT, and Trauma-Focused approaches in an empathetic way, leveraging her own journey of vision loss.

Katherine Hall, MS, AMFT

Katherine is a registered associate marriage and family therapist with 7+ years of experience in the mental health field. Katherine graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work and she earned a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from California Baptist University, Riverside. Katherine has worked in multiple settings from residential treatment facilities to high school settings. She has worked with various populations over the course of her training. She has experience working with older adults, crisis intervention, severe psychiatric conditions, LGBTQ, teens, and transitional age youth. She has a passion for working with teens and young adults navigate through life’s challenges. Katherine is certified in Substance Abuse and Chemical Dependency, Advanced Courtroom Survival Techniques, and more. She is skilled in utilizing motivational interviewing and solution focused therapy to reach client goals. Katherine is pictured with her therapy dog, Tex, who is a certified alliance k9 therapy dog.
